Frequently Asked Questions

Because current scrap metal prices are based on global markets supply and demand, they fluctuate on a daily basis. We base all of our metal recycling prices off global market pricing so that we may pass top prices over to you. When you visit our metal recycling centers, your scrap metal will be weighed in front of you and you will receive your scrap metal price at the time of weighing.

C&D accepts many, but not all, metals. At our recycling center, we accept various metals including ferrous and non-ferrous materials at our scrap metal recycling facility such as iron, copper, aluminum cans, brass, stainless steel and more. Learn more about what we recycle as well as prohibited items here.

C&D accepts most appliances (that contain metals) such as washer/dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, etc. And other household items such as AC units, window frames, brass lighting fixtures, electronics, computers, pots/pans, pool pump motors, metal patio furniture, door knobs, garbage door tracks, Christmas lights, and more!

C&D Scrap Metal provides personalized recycling programs for commercial/industrial businesses. Contact us today to schedule a complimentary visit to your facility where we will conduct an assessment and design a custom recycling program to meet your needs. We offer roll-off containers, dump trucks, volume-based rates/pricing, and an interactive supplier portal.

Numerous everyday locations serve as sources for obtaining scrap metals. For instance, residential remodeling projects, particularly in kitchen and bathroom spaces, often yield a variety of scrap materials such as appliances and glass door frames. Additionally, discarded electronics can be repurposed for their metal components, while aluminum extracted from beverage cans and outdated gutter systems also contribute to the scrap metal pool. While these examples provide a starting point, an extensive array of other sources exists for acquiring scrap metal suitable for recycling.

C&D Scrap Metal does not accept asbestos, bio waste, corrosives, explosives, flammable liquids, gas bottles, non-metallic refuse, poison, pressure cylinders, and radioactive material. We also do not accept glass, paper, plastic, rubber, oils, lubricants, fluids of any kind, and transmissions or engines with visible oil.
